The first three months

Keep in touch

As you settle into life in Ireland and into your new role with the HSE, it is important that you feel secure and supported beyond the first few weeks.

Try to engage with colleagues who have gone through the same move to Ireland. They will be able to provide advice and support.

Induction completed

You will have to complete the final 9 modules in the i-START Induction Hub as part of your Induction. As with the first three modules, these will give you information and signpost you to helpful resources.

Part 2 of Corporate Induction follows on from the Site Induction and is delivered as a half-day virtual (online) classroom programme.

The Corporate Induction virtual programme provides new staff and staff who have moved roles within the HSE, with an understanding of their role in the organisation, the organisational structure and key resources they will need to access as employees. It also informs employees about what the HSE expects of them and what the HSE as an employer can offer them.

Cultural Diversity Network

The Cultural Diversity Network is aimed at employees from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds.

It was formed as part of the work of the Diversity Equality and Inclusion (DEI) team, who help create a culture where employees are valued and supported, and work in an environment free from discrimination.

You can access resources and information on the DEI Hub on HSeLanD and on their webpage.

Employee Assistance Programme

Life throws curveballs. Sometimes, we all face challenges that impact our well-being and ability to function effectively at work and at home.

The HSE Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) is a valuable resource offering confidential, independent support to staff and the organisation. This work-based service helps employees navigate psychosocial issues – personal or work-related problems affecting mental health, job performance, or home life. EAP provides a safe space to address these challenges, promoting a healthier and more productive workforce.

Don’t hesitate to reach out if you need help; it’s a confidential and supportive service designed to assist you.
