Local induction plan

In the weeks before your start date, you may receive information about your local induction plan and, if applicable, your adaptation period.

The local induction plan may, for example give you details of your start date, where to go, what to wear, who you are meeting and what to expect. It may have a copy of your timetable and the shift times, as well as what department you will be working in.

It may also provide information about the locality, such as transport links and nearby places to eat.

Virtual meet-up

You may get a chance to meet some of your managers and new team via a virtual meet-up.

This can be a nice, informal way of meeting your new manager and some others who are joining at the same time.

It is a good opportunity to ask questions or make yourself familiar with the team. It can help relieve some of the nerves of that first day.
