Work with us in CAMHS

Be part of an ambitious reform programme in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), working in our front line services, actively supporting children and young people to have the greatest chance to enjoy a healthy life and reach their full potential.

Promoting good mental health and building resilience in children, young people and families is hugely important. Healthy emotional and social development in childhood lays the foundation for good mental health and resilience throughout the lifespan.

Our ambition is to prioritise the promotion of good mental health, intervene early when problems develop, and ensure clear, integrated pathways to community-based mental health services for those who need extra supports.

CAMHS are specialist mental health services for those aged up to 18 years, who have reached the threshold for a diagnosis of moderate to severe mental health disorders and require the input of a multi-disciplinary specialist mental health team.

Choose a rewarding career within CAMHS

We are seeking both newly qualified and experienced staff to work on our Community CAMHS teams and our CAMHS Inpatient services, which include Child and Adolescent Consultant Psychiatrists, NCHDs, Nurses, Health and Social Care Professionals including Psychologists, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Speech & Language Therapists, Dietitians and Social Care Workers, as well as administrative and support staff.

You will join a growing network of highly skilled mental health professionals, and will be encouraged and supported in your career with the service.

Continuing professional development (CPD) is supported with opportunities to take part in courses, seminars and training programmes, carry out research and pursue formal education.

Working together, we will embark on a journey of service transformation; with children, young people and their families at the centre of everything we do.
